The former Fytton Arms site at The Green in Oldham is a residential regeneration project that transformed a long-vacant brownfield site into a new apartment-led housing development. Located within the Fitton Hill area, the scheme replaced a derelict former public house with modern residential accommodation, helping to revitalise a prominent site within the local community.
Strategic Approach
The redevelopment strategy focused on bringing a neglected and underused site back into productive use through a carefully considered residential scheme. Following the demolition of the former pub, proposals evolved through the planning process to create a more community-focused apartment development that responded to local concerns and surrounding residential character.
